Hello everyone and welcome back.
It’s been a while since we… Well, let me rephrase that. It’s been a while since I have logged in into our page that I almost forgot what my password was, I’ll be the first one to admit. Lately it has been hectic. It appears that there is a lot going on in both my personal and professional life that I honestly cannot manage it well and all hell breaks loose. This year hasn’t been as exciting as the year before but we are still trying to make it happen (having fun) while making the right choices.
I have to tell you, stress sucks and they do not combine very well with life at home. I know some say, therapy is the way to fix many things and I do agree with that depending on the issue but sometimes that therapy for me is going back to the mountains even if its just for one day. It was a culture shock moving from Colorado to Iowa. I just want to clarify that I am not dissing on Iowa because honestly, it is really nice, very affordable and a great place to raise little ones but while living in Colorado, I feel that the bar was already set too high and I expected to do the same things that I loved doing here in Iowa. I might have left out one big detail and that is that there are no mountains here. No hiking in the mountains, no rafting, no snowboarding etc.
These past 2 weeks I felt extremely stressed out and I felt like the tension was building up more and more everyday until one day. I just couldn’t take it and things went way South. So I decided to go back to the only place where I could feel at ease, a place where I could think of all of the mistakes that I have done and how to correct them, A place of serenity and awesomeness. I went back to the mountains but this time, I went to a place where I hadn’t gone before. Yup. I went to the Great Sand Dunes National Park and spent it with my brother and nephew. It was nice to have that support.
I have a short 2 1/2 minute video above for you guys to check out. We had a lot of fun and Eyra loved it.
Until Next time.
